To get to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca take in San José the 3rd street (Calle 3) north and follow the signs to Limon. The road will lead you through the magnificent Braulio Carillo National park and a tree hour drive to Limon. After passing the cemetery turn right at the intersection and follow the signs to Cahuita, Puerto Viejo and Sixaola. From here it is about 1.5 hours to Puerto Viejo.
