Rainforest tours

The rainforests close to Puerto Viejo offer excellent opportunities for a rainforest hike. Several rainforests like Cahuita National Park or Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve are easy to reach and will leave you with lasting impression. Mammals like anteaters or the lazy sloth are encountered frequently. Birding is very good. Species like toucans, trogons, woodpeckers, manakins and motmots are often seen.
